The director was inspired to do a romantic comedy in the style of Kathryn Hepburn and Cary Grant, only with two men as the romantic couple. In the 1990’s, most of the movies were about young white men in their 20’s dealing with issues of sex, usually in an urban setting. Big Eden deals with issues of intimacy, not just sexual attraction. This film portrays gay men who have real, intimate relationships with family and friends –both gay and straight. Bring your treats and drinks and sink into a comfortable couch or chair to enjoy this slow paced, but revolutionary town, and some good country western music. Movie Nights for 2012 are scheduled for 7 pm on the following Fridays: February 24, March 23, April 26th, and May 18th. Please check the monthly and weekly newsletters for any changes in scheduling. |
